With a motive to enhance the oratory skills of BVMites, a declamation was conducted under the guidelines of Ved Parchar Mandal, convened by Mrs. Narinder Kaur (Co-ordinator) in the premises of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir, Udham Singh Nagar. Sixty budding orators participated in this contest with great zeal and zest. The participants did their best to exhibit their speaking skills trilingually (Hindi, Punjabi & English) on the topics given by Ved Parchar Mandal. Some of the topics were - Who is the wealthiest man in the world?, Patience, Advantages & Disadvantages of Cell phones and net and many more. The participants left all spell bound with their art of eloquence. The parameters of judgment were confidence, pronunciation, expression and content matter. In this tough contest, Geetika of class V stood first. The second position was grabbed by Shruti of class XI Science and Amisha of class VII clinched the third position. The Principal Mrs. Bandana Sethi, awarded the winners with shields. Congratulating the winners for their glorious achievements she also exhorted Bhartiyans to participate enthusiastically in such personality enhancement competitions in future too.
